I loved this book! For the Strange and Surprising is a reverse harem set in an alternate world. Adelaide is on an annual fishing trip in the ocean when she is taken to an alternate world by a waterspout (water tornado). She ends up swimming to shore after waking up from being knocked out by the storm. But, while she is swimming to shore she finds this world is not of her own when she is chased by a giant octopus and taken by half men/half beasts (they're actually all men but they wear a beast costume to blend in with the jungle beasts). During her journey she meets a few guys and she learns more and more how this world is so much different from her own.

I love alien romances. Combine that with a reverse harem and I'm usually pretty captivated. This story sucked me in from the beginning. I loved that she was on an alien planet, but wasn't abducted in the traditional sense. It was a great start to the storyline. I felt like she had a lot of chemistry with all her harem members and I'm really excited to see where her harem goes in the next book. 

That cliffhanger was intense! I was so sad to see that the next book isn't out yet. But, fear not because it seems the author will be rapid releasing these. I am eagerly awaiting the next in the series.
